You don’t have to scroll far to see that Alex and Jillian had the time of their lives at their winter cathedral wedding. They were full of huge, genuine smiles the whole day and planned a truly celebratory event.
Alex and Jillian got married on a winter day in December just outside of Boston. The day started slowly with each of them getting ready with their friends. Jillian got ready with her closest girls and her daughter, Lyra. They kicked off their day with some sweet cuddles and play before getting married. It was such a sweet time to witness and was made even cuter by their matching pajamas. Lyra was with all the girls while they got ready, and it was so precious to watch her mom get her ready, and to watch her by Jillian’s side.
The ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Church, which is chock-full of character and gorgeous architecture. We got some of the most beautiful photographs, both inside the ornate sanctuary during the ceremony and outside for portraits afterward. They are both naturals in front of the camera, which made capturing the incredible moments of their day so easy!
Their day was full of decorative touches that gave a nod to the holidays. Deep red tones were found throughout their day, including Jillian’s stunning shoes, the bridesmaids dresses, and the florals at their reception. Their reception venue was especially festive and really catered to a warm, inviting atmosphere.
One of the elements most important to them was their guests enjoying themselves. To that end, their cocktail hour was complete with a magician and caricature artists. It was such a unique and fun touch during their day. It was evident from the moment I showed up that this day was full of joy and celebration, and it was written all over Jillian’s face all day. She couldn’t keep her smile off her face, and it was infectious. Both the couple and all their guests had the best time all day long. The thing that really stood out was how much love there was and how close they are to their families. The love was palpable.
