Ember and Megan had an incredibly unique and personal Joshua Tree wedding. They started off as best friends, then turned into something more! The couple invited a small group of those closest to them to help celebrate their marriage. They planned a day that was full of personal touches and reflected them and their love.
One of the things most important to the couple was to spend as much time together during the day as possible. They started the morning slowly with coffee, cuddles, and playing with their dog. Friends came over for a tarot reading before it was time to get ready for the day. They did hair and makeup together and even helped each other get dressed. Ember wore an emerald green suit with a lace corset. Megan wore a wedding gown with lace florals that swished just right during our portrait session. They both wore boots, which were perfect for their location!
Ember and Megan both come from diverse heritage and felt it was important to honor each of their cultural traditions. This made for a one-of-a-kind ceremony that reflected them perfectly. Their ceremony incorporated many different elements of their heritage to pay homage to Jewish and Native American traditions. They wed under a chuppah overlooking the incredibly beautiful valley below. During their ceremony, they included washing of the hands, Native American blessings with a smudging ceremony, a crystal ceremony, and the breaking of the glass. Ember and Megan kept things small, so they were surrounded by their most cherished friends and family. One of the most unique aspects of their ceremony was when their guests joined hands in a circle around the chuppah. They were, quite literally, surrounded by those supporting and affirming their union!
After the ceremony, they celebrated with dancing, hanging out, and enjoying good food with friends and family. They had such a good time and really did spend the whole day being in love and celebrating that together. It was truly an honor to be invited to spend such a personal day with them at their Joshua Tree wedding. I would love to help you capture your love.
